Moondance Alexander (2007) DVD with Lori Laughlin & Don Johnson

Moondance Alexander (Kay Panabaker) is an awkward and misfit teenager facing a lonely summer after her father's passing and living with her overprotective mother (Lori Loughlin). She finds an escaped pinto pony named Checkers and returns him to his gruff owner, Dante Longpre (Don Johnson). Moondance trades stable work for riding lessons and discovers that Checkers has a hidden talent for jumping. She convinces Dante to coach them so they can enter the prestigious Bow Valley Classic.
